Unworthily few visit this amazing place on the east coast of Dendera and Luxor, offering guests the opportunity to go beyond their first Luxor experiences but still want to see more
Many who come to Egypt are primarily curious about Cairo or Luxor, so Dendera doesn’t get much traffic, although it offers a fantastic experience with its massive stone roofs, dark chambers, underground passages and Hathor - towering columns ending in headed columns for one of the few temples they survived! The church stands on the west coast on the outskirts of the city of Kena.
Looking at the exterior, entering the church building is fantastic - in words it is difficult to describe - the sight that greets you. A sure visitor's neck is numb as he watches the wonder of the ceiling and top columns. Hathor was the goddess of beauty and love, so no wonder the temple is truly a pleasure in itself and you will fall in love right away!
Our eyes scan the ceiling almost constantly, but whoever wants to walk all the way through should be prepared, because there are places to climb, there are places to crawl. If we have managed to open the underground passages as well, interesting things can unfold before us. According to which the ancient Egyptians already knew electricity.
In many places we meet the figure of Nut, and here is a copy of the zodiac. Just a copy because the original was sawn out and taken away in the early 19th century and has been enriching the Louvre in Paris ever since !!!
Close to the main gate is the birthplace dedicated to Horus, as well as the tiny figure of Bész, the dwarf god of fertility.
Our tour to Luxor will continue, as in this program we will look at the opportunities offered by the East Coast, such as the Luxor Temple and the Luxor Museum.
Of course, our tour is interrupted with a delicious lunch, during which we can be pleasantly refreshed.

Wherever we head, a bottle full of water is an essential accessory for the hike. The appropriate clothing for the place, the clothing recommended for the ladies are the skirt, trousers and shoulder under the knee, the upper, the scarf, comfortable closed shoes, the sweater for the bus (air conditioning). Because of the sun, we recommend that you use sunscreen, headgear, sunglasses, and of course don't forget your camera at the hotel! Warmer clothes in winter!
